SIMONA Stadpipe has signed a contract with Eyvi for the delivery and installation of a complete piping package at the Arctic Seafarm facility in Nesna. The installation work will begin in January 2025.

SIMONA Stadpipe will now deliver a complete piping package for the Arctic Seafarm project in Nesna, Nordland. The facility is located in close proximity to the sea and has well-established infrastructure. The piping package will include pipes for all water distribution as well as fish transport within the facility.

“We have already done significant work together with Eyvi on the detailed planning of the piping system and look forward to starting the installation,” says Nils-Per Sjåstad, General Manager of SIMONA Stadpipe, and continues:

“For us, this is a confirmation that the work all of us at SIMONA Stadpipe put in every day is yielding results. We thank Eyvi for once again choosing us as a partner for the piping system, and we look forward to building a forward-looking facility together with the other stakeholders in the project.”

Fish Welfare First

Project Manager at Eyvi, Vegard Wigstøl, is pleased to have signed an agreement with SIMONA Stadpipe. The piping package will be an important part of the gentle fish transfer between the tanks, which is especially important to Wigstøl.

“We have collaborated on previous projects such as the land-based fish farming facility for Hima in Rjukan, and we are very satisfied with SIMONA Stadpipe. The most important thing for us is to maintain good fish welfare throughout the process, and for that, we need high-quality and reliable deliveries.”

The Arctic Seafarm facility will become one of Norway's most innovative land-based facilities for salmon production. When the first phase of the land-based fish farming facility is completed, it will produce 10,000 tons of fish annually. This will initially employ around 40 people.
