A complete process piping delivery ensuring stable operation and efficient water management in a modern smolt facility.
SIMONA Stadpipe AS has delivered complete piping solutions to the new smolt production facility at Salten Smolt, with Krüger Kaldnes as the customer. The project covers engineering, production, and delivery of process piping systems adapted to a modern hatchery environment.
The delivery includes approximately 11,800 metres of piping and around 900 manual valves. Dimensions range from DN32 to DN600. Process piping runs both below and above ground, which ensures efficient water distribution and good accessibility throughout the facility.
Beyond standard piping, SIMONA Stadpipe has also supplied several system components developed specifically for the aquaculture industry. Images from the project show on‑site installation, underground pipework, and in‑house production of manifolds at SIMONA Stadpipe’s facility.
Key products supplied to Salten Smolt include manifolds, inlet pipes, outlet boxes, a CIP tank, and fish pots. The overall solution supports stable operation and effective process control. It also enables efficient and reliable handling of water flows in a modern smolt production plant.
